A different way to look at your personality

These days it is very common to label your personality as quite valuable. Having a meaning is encouraged, you can test yourself in all kinds of ways, there are numerous courses and training opportunities to "fix" any aspect of yourself that is not to your liking and trade them for patterns that are judged as successful. You join all kinds of trends, and this makes you feel good.

And yet, lots of people no longer join this rat race, and then feel an outsider for not wanting or being able to play along anymore. They tend to uphold a picture that they are still "in the game", but this is only a facade. Their old patterns are repeated, however their results are far from enjoyable.

Actually it is quite surprising that almost nobody questions the source of the solutions that this world suggest, and asks himself the question whether a real solution was to be found in something else than this personality thought pattern with which you identified. Are you really your personality, or is this only a way in which you use part of your mind to react according to trained patterns. A part which tries to make the best out of adopted standards and values that are never fully compatible and universal. Interpretations you make of experiences, which result into feelings that are usually so unpleasant that once you feel them, you try to get rid of them as soon as possible. Could un-learning, letting go, hold out a real solution to you?

Yes, there is an alternative solution. You are not your personality. In those moments where your personality is absent, you will remember who you really are. Now this is unfamiliar territory indeed, however, unfamiliar does not mean "impossible". When you let go of all the energy you invest in your personality, you will discover an inner Peace that is constant and does not depend on outer circumstances. You need not reserve this kind of experience for special moments only, you can find it in a traffic jam, during a meeting, and on a house party. Since it is a choice of intention only, nothing more and nothing less. This site is fully dedicated to inspiration to become aware of this, so if you feel like looking around, you are welcome.
