Being as an alternative to activity

Activity consists of several ingredients: an intention, acting it out, and evaluation afterwards. During the activity itself, issues like doing, control and adjustment are seen as important.

When you leave out all these ingredients, you have a state of Being: action that is inspired in the moment itself, without any intention, that evolves spontaneously and does not need any control during the action, nor evaluation afterwards, because the experience in itself was complete.

Activity is the working space of your personality, the absence of activity is that of your inner Self. The spontaneity of action and its unpredictability, make your personality judge it as pretty unwanted, simply because he cannot have any grip on it.

Your personality wants you to believe that when he is not in charge, nothing will happen and the only thing that is left for you to do is to sit still. Now this is not true, but it will demand a lot of trust and experience to accept that. And also you will have to be prepared to experience the absence of activity.

The unpredictability of the action that is inspired by your inner Self does not imply that you will not deal with future issues, like arranging a vacation or making appointments. But these things will arise in the moment itself, and you will "know" them, rather than "choosing them".

And you can rest assured that the action that is inspired this way not only turns out to suit your needs perfectly, you will know that it is perfect for you as well.
