Collecting and non-payment

Offering inspiration through the BE company structure, means that all the normal aspects of running a business are involved. Suppliers and customers now offer you some new aspects to increase your awareness. One of them is the simple fact that not everybody plays the game in which we agreed that when you order something, you pay for it as well, they only play half of it. Now this aspect is not new to me, I have seen it very often during the years that I worked for several companies. However, it is quite different when it can be narrowed down to a one-on-one agreement between yourself and someone else.

It happened three times now, each wit a different pattern and a different amount. And it has made me aware of some slumbering feelings of powerlessness with the remains of my personality. At first this is not that obvious, it is not unusual to have to remind someone. Only when it starts to last for months now, and the reminders do not lead to any reaction, then you really start to notice the little stitch you feel every time you see the statements of account without their payment.

Today I have freed myself from my expectation patterns for these three people, and have typed behind their names and balances due: forgiven (I could have mentioned non-collectable, but that holds out the idea of a problem). These people have helped me to learn that I thought that "payment" was the appointment that we made, and it turned out to be that "learning" was the real essence, at least as far as I was concerned. Not businesslike? Everyone who is in business has to deal with non-collectable balances, and it is up to you how to experience it. I have chosen inner Peace (and a couple of weeks later I could change the label into "paid" for one of these balances.)
