Can you exaggerate being your Self?

Once you get more experience with your inner Self, you will notice that it is very attractive. You experience great inner Peace and comfort, so it is no surprise that you want to extend and hold on to experiencing this state of mind. There you have the pitfall as well: once you start doing so consciously and call forth this experience, you actively disturb the existing balance between your personality and your inner Self. In itself there is nothing wrong with that, since you do so all the time when you take the next step in increasing Awareness.

However, it is not recommended to very consciously and frequently call forth your inner Self as an experience and thus more or less ignore your personality or make him temporarily powerless. The fact that you may be able to call forth an experience with your inner Self, does not mean that you should do so when you can. Since this forces a certain amount of attention during the day to flow to this state of Being which is not natural to you (as yet). And this will always call forth tension which will express itself sooner or later (and a mild form of that would be that you were to quit it all together and live your life as before).

Others are likely to notice this is an unnatural situation for you, and you will no doubt receive reactions on it - which you are likely to wave away because of your enthusiasm for the new experience. In a way this somewhat looks like falling in love, seen from the perspective of yourself as well as that of others. For everybody there is an individual level of tension which is still constructive for being able to make the next step in increasing Awareness. For the one person this is only very small, the next one is able to make a big step every now and then. You may well assume that when something does not come naturally to you but you have to do something special in order to call it forth, it can be seen as an example of the category 'likely to be forced on you'.

Ultimately you will be able to be your Self all day, during conversations, while you are at work, at a party, while entertaining the kids etc., without having to do something special for that. You will BE your Self, which is very natural and logical. When you move through the process of increasing awareness of the mechanisms of your personality - which are the direct cause of your idea that you would nót want to experience your inner Self - each time a situation rises to your awareness, the balance between your personality and your inner Self will automatically change over time in favour of your inner Self. Trust the process itself and your inner wisdom, and do not force it on yourself. Increasing Awareness is a tandem where letting go of your personality goes hand in hand with being your Self.

Thus you ensure a 'safe approach', since your personality is the mechanism you made yourself and which reacts and 'strikes back' when he does not get enough attention, your inner Self only fills the space you mentally make available for it and never strikes back nor reacts to activities and territory issues your personality comes up with, so you never have to fear a setback from there. So you make the capacity of your personality to let go, leading in determining the speed with which you can move through this process of letting go.
