Face the emptiness
In what your personality calls emptiness, the true source of who you really are can be found. Empty is the label your personality puts on those situations where there is nothing for him to do or experience. And since your personality is not continuous but lives by an endless chain of moment after moment, you will no doubt in between experience smaller or bigger periods of emptiness. Your
personality has labeled this as unpleasant and 'thus' wrong - and seen from his perspective this is a fine judgment, since it does not offer hím anything.
Now you will try to avoid these unwanted experiences as much as possible in all kinds of different ways, and will fill your day with an endless series of 'things' which will help you to avoid having to face the emptiness, not having to experience it: thoughts, music, tv, talking, reading, etc., and when one of these becomes wanting and cannot interest you anymore, you will almost immediately
switch to the next one. Perceive yourself during the day and notice how fast you make these switches and have the one activity be followed by the other for example.
"I am never bored" is a compliment in the eyes of your personality, since it were to imply that he can always come up with something that will catch your attention. "Busybusybusy" is a likewise statement: comfortably accepted socially, however, usually a bit tiring and with a hint of powerlessness. And when you are not fully successful in getting rid of the unpleasant feelings, there are always escapes like smoking, drinking, and eating to literally fill yourself with anything in order to avoid
or diminish the experience.
Now how long do you intend to keep on playing this game? Why not simply take a good look at what your personality calls emptiness and find out what it can truly offer you? This is much less tiring than keep on trying to avoid it. Okay, courage is needed to do this, especially in the beginning. However, spending the rest of your life repeating these avoiding-personality-patterns is not an attractive perspective either. What you do not know you do not like, once you truly dare to look into the emptiness
you will find that it is there where you find what you were looking for all the time.
You can start with very small steps: when your personality suggest that you change activity, count till ten before you really do so. In this way you introduce the idea that there is something else besides your personality impulses that you open up to. And the BEcourses can of course be of help here as well.
