Knowledge and intelligence
Knowledge and intelligence are about: there is to know something which you would not have naturally, and there is a difference in personalities about the way, the extent to, and the speed with which they can capture this and what they can do with it. There is a strong personality identification and social appreciation for the extent to which you are able to 'conquer' those things which
seem to be outside of you, and make them your own.
Whereas your inner Self is already there, and can be found within you. You cannot 'learn' your inner Self, neither understand it, nor reason about it, it simply Is, you can only remember this and have it return to your awareness in full by making mental space available to do so.
When you have an experience with your inner Self, one where you simply 'know' something, you will immediately understand that neither one of these aspects would have been able to help you to get this Knowledge. Often enough, the experience is such that it does nót meet the expectations of your personality, based on knowledge, logic and reasoning - and if it doés meet these, it is likely
that your personality attempts to quickly make this as coming from him.
So these are, just like all other issues, things your personality embraces in order to distract you from the experience of your inner Self. However, just like with all those other issues, you can choose to become aware of the mechanisms which are at the basis of it, see that as ingenious as it may be, it still does not bring you what you are really looking for, and then let go of your
investment in it. With regard to these issues this may be quite difficult, since it seems so logic and objective, it often fulfills a great role in the creation of your self image, and it was so convenient for your personality to have them at hand for justification to have you look outside yourself and thus distract you from what can be found within.
It is possible for example to know everything there is to know about the bible, be very intelligent, and still live your life from the perspective of your personality. However, you can let all this go the minute you see that it no longer serves you, because you want to move on in your process of increasing Awareness. Facing what it is that you have made and then letting it go, is what
will bring you to the door you yourself have made in order to close your mind on other experiences. However, it is not what actually opens the door (it opens itself when there is no longer pressure from that side), nor what controls or determines what is behind the door. And what is behind it (your inner Self) cannot be understood either, it simply is.
Letting go does not mean: ban from your awareness, nor does it mean forgetting. You may still be inspired to sign up for a course for example, maybe for your profession or to master some very practical issues. However, the intention with which you do this then differs completely, now you no longer use it to forget your Self through your personality, you only learn to use a new practical
tool to be able to function at a certain place, in which context you will continue your process of increasing Awareness, as much as you allow, based on inspiration through your inner Self.
The good part here is, that your intelligence will always be sufficient to undo and let go, since you only have to understand what you yourself have put in the way of experiencing your inner Self, and you will always be 'smart' enough for that.
