A common interpretation error about your personality

When you start thinking about the differences between your personality and the inner Self you are not too familiar with at that time, it is quite normal to say that whatever you experience "inside" is your inner Self. This interpretation is highly welcomed by your personality, but not true.

What you call an inner experience, can be categorized as personality issues also. A simple check: whatever activity you experience in your head, rest assured that its source is your personality, being your thoughts as well as your emotions. Your inner comments on situations, your anticipations, your interpreting and judging others. Telling yourself why something is right or not right. Your discussions and your doubts. Everything that you can THINK of and react on, is your personality. 

Your personality will try to find solutions to your problems in familiar ways, that he may have read about, but has kept you from practicing so far, like relaxation exercises, meditation, yoga or likewise. Even the word "spirituality" can be used: nice and vague, very far away from everyday life, and especially very hard to integrate in your daily activities. He also tries to "personalize" your inner Self, by assigning to it the laws of himself, thus making the inner confusion complete. It is also very popular among personalities to choose to no longer express certain behaviour or emotions, change them for other behaviour, reasoning or emotions that obviously seem to be more appropriate.

Your inner Self can be described in terms like "knowing", being, inner peace, a feeling of freedom. It is not located in a certain place in your body. It is simply there, and is not influenced by outer situations or circumstances. In a situation in which your experiences are guided by your inner Self, you will know that it is right, just as it is, and you do not feel like discussing, analyzing, judging or controlling at all. Be happy, you do not have to learn any special skills to be able to experience that, because it is already in you. You only have to make place to experience it, get out of your own way by slowing down and letting go of your personality. On this site you may find a lot of inspiration to work on that.
