You know it already

One of the things your personality conveniently makes you overlook, is that everything that is revealed on this site about your inner Self, is already within you. You have temporarily lost most of your awareness of it, that's all. So all you really have to do, is to learn how to regain awareness.

You will find that your inner Self is not strange or unknown, neither unpleasant nor unstable, not in the least mythical or vague. On the contrary, it will turn out to be exactly the thing that you were looking for for so long, a feeling you will recognize as very familiar and long-lost to you, an experience that you have tried to find outside yourself and though other people and things.

It is not up to your personality to determine whether or not you have an inner Self, or whether or not you can "obtain" it or not. The only thing that he can attempt, is to delay your awareness of it. Now this is a thing he does intensively, simply because it is what you have trained for all your life. Still, becoming aware of your inner Self is the beginning of the sure ending of your personality.

The universal experience and peaceful strength of your inner Self cannot be destroyed by your personality or changed, he can only temporarily delay your accessing it. The more you will become aware of your inner Self, the more you will recognize your personality for what it really is: a sorry attempt for a worldview, which is unstable, unpleasant, and lonely compared to your inner Self.

What you strengthen in others, you learn yourself and you strengthen in yourself as well. Each contact with other people strengthens something. For example oneness or separation. Inner Peace or agitation. Acceptation or irritation, Etc. You make your choice of what it is you want to strengthen in each situation, and you not only know which guidance you have chosen, personality or inner Self, but also now know what your own experience will be and what you will strengthen in yourself.

One of the strongest arguments of your personality is, that you cannot have your life run by your personality completely. You may now see the humor in this assumption, a bit of a sorry way to attempt to retain some grip at all.
