Finding meaning

One of the bigger issues in the process of moving your attention from your personality to your inner Self, may be: finding the meaning of it all. It is one of the better arguments of your personality when he notices that his grip on your world is really loosening: the world is meaningless without him. In various columns (a.o. intense feelings) I have pointed this out, so as far as that is concerned: nothing new here.

The less your personality can make you believe that his worldview is worth while, then there is only one thing left for him to do, and that is to label the absence of his worldview as empty, meaningless and useless, and he can be pretty persistent in holding on to this idea. Ultimately it is only one of the rare things that are left for him: making you afraid of what is there when he is not involved.

How to deal with these feelings of uselessness? Like every other input of your personality: face it. Recognize the process of judging and the feelings that arise from there. That's it, do not believe that there is no life only because your personality cannot assign any meaning to it, as there are new ways to look at it.

What will replace these fearful thoughts? To me it was knowing this: today I have functioned from the perspective of my inner Self. I have added to increasing the consciousness of the inner Self in this world. Increasing this awareness makes it more accessible for everyone. And whether anyone has consciously noticed my contribution or not, does not make any difference. Same applies to whether I have reached this new level of awareness through focusing on my inner Self, or by moving on through the familiar patterns of my personalities and then letting them go.

It is not about recognition or applause for what you are doing, the change in your awareness is your ultimate goal.
