A practical way for not having to be in control all the time

Your personality is specialized in focusing and judging and interpreting everything that comes to mind. It even gives him a full-time job. Now you can imagine that it is possible to use this principle to get away from your personality's point of view every now and then. You will do that by asking yourself: is it really important that I am in control with regard to this issue/situation.

You can practice this in normal, everyday situations. Even if you are sitting and doing nothing special you could ask yourself that question. It can also serve you during times that you're looking for relaxation or some peace and quiet, or simply want to enjoy what you are doing at that moment. Let yourself be surprised by the inner peace that will arise in you, even if it is only for a little while.

Your personality does not mind at all to answer a question like that, admitting that it is not necessary ( he simply makes you forget that it is possible to ask that question). Thus enabling you to effortlessly practice taking a break from its frantic thought system. That is the great part of this exercise!

Being in control is a very tiring form of focusing your awareness. Within the limits of that focus your personality will work with anything that comes to his awareness. If you have a lot of different experiences during a day, or find yourself in a lot of different situations, you can imagine where your feelings of being tired at the end of the day (or even earlier) come from: all that personality stuff!
