My partner/friends/relatives are not open minded about my process
Lots of people who start on the road to increasing awareness, experience some form of problem with their direct circle of acquaintances, who are assigned judgments like they are not open to this process, may sometimes even reject it, anyhow, they continue with their lives as it was before, and in your life all kinds of changes are likely to happen. There are several presents hidden in these seemingly unaccepting states of mind.
The first one is that you will become (painfully) aware of your personalities tendency to want to extend your vision. Whether the other person likes it or not. You perceive something as "wrong" and want to "help" the other person to solve it, or make it easy on him or her. From my own experience I can tell you that that is an endless job :-) It is your personality who claims to know what is good for the other person, and by that implies
that the other person should consciously work on a growing awareness as well, preferably at the same time and in the same way as you. The gift in the attitude of someone who simply does not join you in this game, is the clear vision that this is not even an option to play it.
This brings you to the second gift that your acquaintances have for you: there is nothing wrong with whatever happens in itself. Or with what someone says or does. Whether it is "right" according to your new level of awareness. One of the challenges you are about to face, is: perceive without judgment or interpretation. Now that may seem easy to do when you are with people who agree with you, or like you, or in situations that reflect
your ideals. But it is a lot more challenging in situations with people that doe not agree with you, do not even want to take a look at it, or in seemingly difficult situations.
When you have someone in your immediate circle of family or friends who simply continues his life, regardless of what you do, he or she will help you to remember that the process of awareness is right in your mind, and is not about changing people or situations. Circumstances and people can help you to become aware of all the judgments and labels that you have acquired over the years. Some people
may inspire you to take a step ahead in your process of increasing remembrance. Others will offer you teasing or interesting ways to practice. Both ways are essential in themselves. Becoming aware is one aspect of it, practicing what this means in everyday life is the other one you have to face. And when you can do that in situations that do not differ from your "normal" environment, the transforming value may become even more clear to you. Nothing changes, only the way that you perceive it and
what you use it for.
The process of becoming aware of your inner Self often is accompanied by feelings of fear: a strong advertisement from your personality (at least, in his opinion) to try to convince you that you should return to him for salvation. A down-to-earth environment that counteracts this and helps you to keep things into perspective, may help you to move through this without escalations.
And last but not least: when you feel lonely because you are going through this process and the other person does not, remember that it is your personality who tells you this. Because on the level of your inner Self you are in contact with other people, whether you are aware of it or not. That is not what this is about. The only thing that is really important, is your own process. Trust the other
persons inner wisdom, his or her process will evolve in a way that is perfect for him or her, at a time and in a way that suits his or her personal needs, just like you experience it in yourself.
Does this mean that you should not talk about it with others? If you feel inspired to do so, then do. But be not surprised when that is a lot less frequent than you expected yourself, or as you do about your normal, daily activities. Talking is very often used to establish and strengthen the worldview of your personality, and we are talking about becoming aware of your inner Self here. So in order
to strengthen the remembrance of your inner Self you should contact the inner Selves of others for more information, for which talking may be an option, but not a very widespread one in the process of remembering your inner Self.
