Let's talk about the physical aspects of love

In the privacy of your private environment, things happen between two people that most of us would not even consider doing when someone else were around, and which also is not a common subject of conversations. Two bodies use each other to come to a peak experience in which the tension that builds up during this process, can be released.

Now this is a bit of a technical description of it all. The fact that your bodies are so heavily involved in it all, makes it easy for your personality to use it as a tool, because he wants you to believe that your body is your only reality. And look at the variety of its tools: the whole dance of attraction, rejection, liking it or not, poses, arousal, how often, fantasies, successes with other people etc. Whole industries make it their business, from music and movies to shops with accessories, clubs etcetera. In one word: personality stuff.

Now what purpose is it all for? Love, you are likely to answer immediately. But you also know that cannot be the real issue here. Because there are lots of situations in which you know for sure that you may perform the trick, but love is not involved at all. For the physical aspect it is more a way of creating tension and release it, and enjoy the feeling that accompanies this process, for which you use the body of another person. This makes it in no way different from dancing, partying or sporting, only the experience of release may vary.

Still, there is an idea of love involved with this kind of physical contact. There is attention from someone for your being, you cannot deny that, because you notice the things that happen with regard to your body. You obviously somehow are worth while. This person is even prepared to share a very intimate experience with you, and that is quite something. But to call this love?

Because nowadays people do not make time for each other, the moments in which couples make time for this kind of experiences, often are the only moments in which they really have some quiet time together. Thus the association with love is easily made.

Your personality uses this to get and maintain some gut feeling about himself, and for that he uses all the standards and other things that the world made up around it all. Thus intimate physical contact is made into a highly overrated way to focus your attention on another person and remembering love. Real love can be remembered in the absence of the continuous chatter of your personality, and any situation can call that forth. This kind of physical contact may lead to it, but because of all the things around it, the physical aspects usually are most prominent.
