For the pleasant experiences as well

Usually you only really start looking for a different view on things when your personality cannot make things 'nice' for you anymore. However, the process of your personality is active in áll aspects, so also in those you have taught yourself to label as 'pleasant'. An interpretation is an interpretation, and you only have taught yourself to value the one outcome over the other one. The mechanism on which they are based is in all situations the same: your personality, and therefore bóth outcomes can be used as input for your process of increasing awareness.

One of the things that you can do as a practice on increasing awareness, is to remind yourself on those moments where your personality seems to be having a great time, of the same things you do when you move through unpleasant situations. So for example: this does not mean anything in itself. This is only an interpretation from my personality and I can choose here and now to no longer strengthen this or even to let it go altogether. I now ask my inner Self to deal with this.

At least you can use many of these moments to realize: hey, this is my personality as well! And do not worry, the experience of your inner Self is always much more pleasant than all the 'fun' your personality believes he can come up with. And through this you will also become more aware of the amount of mental attention, focus, thoughts, energy and effort it costs to have (and hold) fun in a personality-way, as a contrast to the free and always effortless experiences of your inner Self, which even do not require any specific circumstances.
