Your understanding will increase in time

Your personality is not unwilling to join you in looking for new ways to deal with situations that he no longer can make attractive for you. One of his successful approaches is: keep on reasoning until he finds something that, judged by his standards, is "impossible", "cannot be understood", "is not logical", "cannot be explained or proven", "not scientific", or simply is "not true". At least something. And this gives him the opportunity to label the whole process that accompanies it, as untrue or not fit to use, thus re-establishing his own successes even before you started. Now this is a very simple way to overlook the fact that a real solution is not likely to be found through your personality, because that is what causes the problems in the first place.

You might compare a simplification like this with a child that just attended school and tells you that he does not understand Pythagoras, "so" that cannot be true. The fact that you do not understand as yet what is presented to you, does not make it less true. It is simply a matter of working your way through school and its lessons, and one day you will become more aware of all kinds of things and possibilities, you will start to understand how things really work, and one day you are almost effortlessly ready for "Pythagoras", a thing that you could not have imagined earlier. But then the time is right, and the scope of your perception exactly right for you to understand this.

There is a road that you will travel during which your understanding of these principles will evolve. And, almost like school, it is likely to require a lot of practice in order to really master it. Only here they are not theoretical questions from a book, but everyday situations in which you practice.
