The actions below are taken. Despite all these, problem free contacts can never be fully guaranteed. Always use your own protection, for contacts with the BE company as well.

Provider/webhost: XS4ALL scan for viruses on sending and receipt of mail, spam blocking according to their definitions.
Outlook: mail blocking according to Microsoft definitions.
Common sense: be careful about opening mail from unknown senders and in case of doubt, don't. Approve requests for reading confirmation manually.
Technical: Windows XP, wireless access secured through WPA-PSK and firewall.
Use computer: business use only - exemptions made, file exchange with external storage devices.
Site: the webhost standard runs a site visitor counter on their server
Software: official software/services for the BE company related functions, minimal use of freeware.
Software updates: automatic checks on Windows, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office essential updates and servicepacks.
Spyware: security and prevention through Windows defender.
Virus other: regular use of McAfee online virus scan, virusalert.nl and Dutch warning service.
